Christmas Recital!

Somehow I managed to keep pregnancy from holding me back. I had my first dance recital as a studio owner and parent!!! Lets just say I would rather dance then be in charge. ha ha.

Yikes, I am terrible at this game. I am going to blame my lack of posting on.... no time. my camera being with John's hunting stuff, and a new phone. Who wants to read a post with no pictures? But here are some from our quick family pictures my mom took for our Christmas card.

Well I left you guys with the announcement of our pregnancy! So the next news is that Kaydence is having a sister. I wish I could say I had mothers intuition this time. But truly thought this baby was a boy. ha ha. But I am so glad she is a she. Kaydence is so excited for her baby sister to get here! And loves toughing my belly. She has mentioned the her sister is getting bigger. Yikes. But at 24 weeks I guess the baby should be bigger.

Kayde is now accident free for almost a month and a half! yahoo. once we got her BM's figured out she quit having problems. It is my Dance studio's Christmas program in a few weeks and I am freaking out and excited all at once. I am feeling lots better, besides this minor cold I caught. So the holidays should be quite enjoy able.

here is a funny picture I found on my mom's camera with our family pictures. We went to the Zoo this summer with my family but this year I was REALLY feeling pregnant(aka, tired nauseous and trying to act normal so they didn't think anything was up) I was only 6 or 7 weeks here. haha-

Sorry.. 15 weeks down today

Well it has been too long once again! My life has been in full tornado mode since I last updated. As most of you already know we will be adding another member to our family the end of March. We actually found out about 3 days after my last post. Yes I have been sick and nothing has been the same as my first pregnancy with Kayde. Kayde just made me sick til about noon every day from 10- 14 weeks. This little one likes to make me sick ALL day and has since about 6 weeks, but it has eased to just mornings finally at just over 14 weeks. We ask Kayde what is in mom's tummy and she will say her favorite a "baby lion", or tiger followed by wild animal hands and a growl or a baby brother.At first we would ask if she wants a baby sister or a baby brother and she would say a sister brother. but our first ultra sounds says she'll have to choose one sibling. We just made our apointment to get our ultra sound to see if our next one will be a tiger, lion, boy or girl. I really don't know I almost felt like Kayde was a girl. But I have no clue this time. I know this will sound crazy but I have already felt movements I really love that part of pregnancy! Even at this early I've only felt it once or twice but I know what I felt call me crazy. Other than that the baby seems very healthy and it better be cause I'm already looking a little more than just extra chubby. But John and I are more than excited for our new baby to join our family!
My dance studio...
Is going awesome! After I (we) made the decision to start our own thing in Gunnison I found out I was pregnant. Ha Ha. I still felt good so I really didn't think about morning sickness being a problem. ha ha. Lets save you a minute but the first month of dance was scary. But we made it through. I love my studio. Thank heavens for the amazing hubby I have who was so good to help me(ok just do every thing while I bossed). He tore out scarry shelves hung mirrors nailed cubbies together and I don't remember him complainig once! I have 23 students if you count Kayde, who is my worst student by far, yes I leave her with my mom or Susan alot so she misses the most too. Oh well, lets say she gets private tutoring at home. I teach Jazz and Clogging classes 2 days a week. And I have a lady who wants to start Zumba classes. I love my decison to go on my own and my students and parents are great people! I want to thank every one for thier support with this!
Oh just another interesting note. My due date for the baby is the 29th of march oh yes my Dance review is the 26th. Yup I'm cutting it close.
Our lives. John has been busy working and spotting Elk for his Muzzy tag. Which is going on now and he is having terrible luck! It ends thursday so hopefully tomorry brings better news. because he deserves a monster!
You already know all about me.
Kayde is a walking dictionary. Tonight for example we were watching a cartoon and there were brids chriping she looks at me and says" what some squackers, crazy birds" she is always surpising me with the things she understands and knows. She is now 2 as of the 28th of august. wow that came and went way to fast. I'll do a seperate post when John gets back form hunting with all our camera gear for her birthday. But thanks to everyone who took time out of their lives to hang with us, and also thanks for all the panties! I bet she got 5 packs of undies which came at a great time!!She decided to be potty trained around the 22nd of September. she has maybe had 5 pee accidents and is yet to poop in the toliet, which most have been my fault for not paying attinetion. But She only goes#2 once a week so that has only given her 2 chances since everything has begun. She will come find me to tell me lets go potty in the toilet. So we are super proud of her! Her favrite TV shows are mickey mouse club house. and almost anything on the am disney she even likes finius and ferb( which John will watch with her too). She will ask for flerb. ha ha. Her favorite movie is probably the swan princess and I can't find it in stores. It is on our on demand WII netflix so hopefully I can find it befor it dissapears. She will be devisstated. She can count to 10 now but prefers to just use 2678 if I don't make her really try. She loves to draw and color. she can say most of the colors and knows them but, like her numbers she will just throw out a green when something is yellow befor even looking at what I'm asking. We have started shapes she knows circles and sort of draws them( bevery thing is kind of swirls right now) We are also try the alphabet but she just ignors me. Oh well I know she is hearing me and atleast I'm trying.Her new thing is to be naked, and thinks it is funny to come to my front door if some one is at our house nude. So beware if you stop by for a visit I'm sorry.
That is all I can think of right now. But with this baby I've got pregnancy dumb extra early.

Silly Tilly Goose

Kaydence is always being a goof!!!!She loves to pose for the camera. She stole johns hat in the first picture and said whats up guys. Then we were camping and she had to have her sippy and new baby with her any time she went on her 4 wheeler. Then we have been working on potty training and she wanted to put both pair of undies on at the same time. ha ha. then she ran around say "penguin walk penguin walk".

Kaydence Turned 2

Kaydence is so much fun to have in our home. She can push all my buttons at the same time.

She was lucky to have such a fun bunch of people come to our home for a BBQ birthday. My parents, John's parents, Grandma Rene, Zack, Mindy, Atley and her NEW little brother McCoy, Scott, Steph and Casen, Cody, Ali and Maddy and out of state"ers" Teresa and Doug, Randy and Sharon. Sorry if you came and didn't get listed. SO with all these party goers meant TONS of gifts!!!! Kaydence was so funny she was super careful with each gift and wanted to take a break after opening it. I think the main thing was I got my old kitchen out and cleaned it up, and bought new pans, food and things for it. My parents got her a new bike she is still figuring out). She also got TONS of panties... our next milestone i guess. I made Kaydence a Mini Mouse Cake this year. I thought it turned out well. It was a lot easier this year with both hands(last year my wrist was in a splint).

I'm starting something!!

Well as most of you know I have taken a huge leap into the small business world! I am starting my own dance studio this year. I have got my business licence and building, it is probably the scariest thing I have ever done(& that is scary I am married to John who is like evil con evil). I went to the previous owner of Dance Works studio to see if I could take over, ans she seemed more than excited that I wanted to step in her place. We decided to have a meeting with all the other teachers and an other teacher wanted in also. so all in all Jeana couldn't hurt one of our feelings by choosing 1 rightful owner so it came down to pick a number and the person who won called the coin toss. Well the other lady won the number and called the right way on the coin toss so she won the studio! I am very excited for her and I wish her the very best.
But it kind of left me with the option of teaching with her or doing my own thing. So I decided to go out on my own. I have been busy finding a studio, getting my mirrors, cleaning up my studio, and Advertising! We did 3 parades over 24th of July and handed out over 400 flyer's( that was all I ordered) I am very excited to announce Stepping UP Dance Studio will be starting class the week of August 23rd. check out the studio blog for more info, registration forms and anything else you may need. steppingupdancestudio.blogspot.com

Mountains and rodeo!

We went up the canyon with Ken & Lindsi, Her brother James and all our kids. They filled the back of the truck up with bean bags and blankets, so the kids James and John rode in back and Ken Lindsi, Gunner and I rode in front. It was a nice trip up to some waterfalls.

I was the assistant girls camp director this year for our ward. It was so much fun. I forgot my camera, but we spent 4 days up fairview canyon at Camp Shinob.

John's company had their 2nd annual golf tournament the day I got back from camp. So I showered and headed over the Palisade's golf course. We had some of our Bountiful friends down so John decided to get the boat and take them to the res. Kayde and I stayed home, we were tired, and she had gotten an ear infection while I was at camp. They got back from the lake and we headed to the UTE STAMPEDE. One of my favorite rodeo's! I have went almost every year since I was 16.

Ute stampede, I did the money race( they throw out about $100 in 50 cent pieces in the stadium after the rodeo) I got 3 dollars.

They had some very cool Motorcycle trick riders I have never seen.

4th of July

We had an action packed fourth. We started out with going on a 4-wheeler ride on the 3rd with Tim, Hilary, Rich and Cory. While my parents watched Kaydence.We didn't get pictures, but it was really neat we rode up the mountain and watched fireworks from about 5 different towns! Then we got up to go to the parade. Gunnison's parade is awesome (at least I think it is) It is over an hour long! Kayde loved it and with the help of her grandpa Mark she had tons of candy.

We finished up at the parade and headed to the lake. Kayde loved tubing. she really just loves anything to do with water. I was able to wake board. which also means I wreaked so hard I don't remember getting back into the boat, but I did get a few good bunny hops. We cleaned up the boat and ourselves and it was time for Manti's Fireworks. We went the the high schools football grandstand and watched them with patriotic music playing and the Beautiful Manti Temple Glowing in the back ground. This was a first for me and It was SO SO cool.

Twilight

I was so excited to get an invite to go with a group or girls to the Eclipse movie. Most everyone was from Ephraim, there were about 22 of us. we went to dinner in Nephi then to the new theater over there. It was a great outing with new Friends and tons of laughs!

all of us all settled in. we were the only ones waiting to get in. haha. it was a few days after the premire, so I guess everyone had already seen it but us.

Kayde is so dang active. I found her like this I had to get a picture befor she new she was caught. She is a climbing, jumping bouncing 22 month old! I love mostly every second I have with her.

Reunion TIme

We had a fun and busy June. It was from 1 event to the next. Kayde and her little cousin Atley spent lots and lots of time together.

I put Kayde in our local mini miss pagent. She got a little crown and a t- shirt( it is a fund raiser for the Miss Gunnison Pagent). They all won ha ha.

She couldn't wait her turn. She loves the spot light.

The interview. This was so dang funny, they all fought over the mic at practice then the night of they would hardly talk. Oh but Kayde made some silly story up about her arm being hrut. " oh my am, it hurt " it was cute.

My 5 year class reunion, I can't believe it has been that long already. yup this is the only picture I got. haha. There was about 30 ish that came. It was fun to see everyone that came, and everyone's kids.

And can you belive we missed out on a few adventures to.

Swimming lessons

Kayde has swimming lessons June 7-18 at the Manti Aquatic Center. She was soo busy! she would do what she was asked then was off to goof around, lets just say i was chasing her the entire class about. The last day they let us go down the new slide. I was a little nervous, but she of course loved it! We went about 3 times then class was over. We loved her teacher, Ellen Aste, she is so good with these little kids.



The 18th a bunch of John's siblings were down so we sluffed our last day of swimming lessons to go up Manti canyon and fish, eat and hang out.

The Disney Trip!

Feel free to skip to pictures this is mainly for my memory so sorry that it is so long!
Ok so we were able to take an amazing adventure with all of John's siblings and their families! We all went on a Disney Cruise to Disney's private Island and Nassau. It was a five night cruise. we did have a one night stay in Florida before we got on the ship. So here is the Itinerary

Port Canaveral loading the ship- Sunday
Castaway Cay- Monday
Nassau- Tuesday
Day @ Sea- Wednesday
Castaway Cay- Thursday
Back to Port Canaveral and home- Friday

So we got up Sunday and headed to board the ship we had a 45 minute taxi to the Port.our group of almost 30 had to get a tour bus with a U- haul thing for our luggage. ha ha. We got the the port where the Disney Crew was already waiting to serve! we loaded the ship checked out our room and went to a " Welcome aboard" Party with music and the characters. Kayde loved it. She was my little dancing Diva this trip. So we hung out had dinner and went to bed. We awoke at Castaway Cay( the locals and ship members pronounce it Key) This is Disney's Private Island It is tiny, but so Beautiful and clean. Even the areas they are constructing were clean. We got what we felt was a deal on Bike rentals,float tubes or mats, and snorkel gear if we got it for both days so we did. This day we took a bike ride and John Snorkeled a bit to later find they had a " snorkeling section" and the life guards have an accent. SNOOCKALOR SNOORCKALOR funny stuff. We ate, played in the water and ran back to the boat for dinner.
Kayde Loved the complimentary Jogger Stroller I got from the ship for our entire cruise. I might have to get one! They are really so nice. She took most of her naps in this. The next day we went to Nassau we had herd form a few of our Platinum selling friends we should go see Atlantis and to get our tickets from cabbies. well little did we know they are SUPER ILLEGAL right now. they have been putting people in jail the last 2 weeks for buying and selling. So a Very upset Cabbie and a run down the tiny streets of Nassau we found a cab driver who was nice enough to even let us in his cab. that is where we got the whole story. But any way.... We went to Atlantis just not the water park. so we had access to the pools, aquariums, beaches, towels, and a lunch. It was great, Kayde loved this whole day. She got to see Nemo's( clown fish) and sea horses. So after Atlantis we headed back to do a little souvenir shopping. It was crap! Things were so over priced, so we grabbed Kayde and I each a shirt( John didn't find anything he would wear again) and loaded the ship. While getting ready for our Pirate Night Dinner I herd a bunch of the family out in the hall. I peaked my head out just in time to find out John and I had totally went to the wrong places shopping. SO Steph I and Scott( Our body guard) ran off the ship and over to the " white tent" it was awesome. too bad we only had about 5 minute to get there and find our black market purses. Steph ended up with 2 and I 1. It was kind of fun. Down side is we had to run there and back in the RAIN and I had literally just finished drying my hair from my shower. haha. Lets just say we were late for dinner. but it was fun Kayde loved her eye patch and saying arr. They had a big party on the top decks, where they had all the characters once again and even FIREWORKS!!!! I guess they are the only ship that has them. it was awesome. too bad Kayde fell asleep and John was sea sick so he took her to bed and missed the party. Ok day 4 was our day at sea. we slept in and ate, and let kayde play in the ships pools. So they have a certain area for non potty trained kids. Our little one really liked playing in the fountains and splashing around, but she got bored when we brought her back after her nap. So we took her swim diaper off and let her go play in the big kid pool. she was in heaven!!! I think she sprouted fins and gills in this pool. It was so funny watching her jump and nose dive off the side. and honestly she didn't care if I was there to catch her or not. So that is really all we did that day swam, ate, napped, went to a show. Day five we were back at Castaway we got our gear and picked out our beach spot and ended up waiting for the fam for a few. Kayde love this beach it had great sand and clear water. We got sitter and snorkeled in the right area where John and Tyson( Kayla's new hubby) found 2 or 3 Conk shells. among other stuff. we mainly hung out in the water and played with the family this day. Man They had chocolate chip cookie dough soft serve ice cream for desert! a highlight of my day!
We had to have every thing packed up and out side our rooms between 9-11 that night so I did laundry in between courses of dinner then when we were done eating we went to the cabin let Kayde relax and packed our things. We had to be off the ship by at least 9 the next morning.
Heading home was not so fun!!!! when is it really? we had to get up at 6:30 to get out and get breakfast before everything was closed. then we had to shuttle to the airport and wait for our plane back to good ole Utah. ok it wasn't a normal wait we had to spend almost 6 hours there! We debated going t Disney or gator land but decided it wouldn't be worth our time. Kayde was so good. she napped and played. We had non stop flights both ways so it was 5 hours long. the first flight she did great besides the descend. Kayde wouldn't suck anything so I think her ears wouldn't change. so the second flight I decided to drug her. our Dramamine said it was safe so I tried it..... well I'm pretty sure all it did was hyper her up and give her munchies. she hardly slept the whole flight! but when she did she crashed and it was about 45 minutes before we landed. ha ha. Well that sums it up. If you stuck with me way to go if you didn't I really Don't blame ya.

Well our house is finally looking finished here and there. We have 3 closet doors to hang, and 6 doors to put trim around. We have finished almost all the trim. By that we I mean John, but he used the nail gun I bought.The all we have is the tile back splash I can't decide on and the back patio, so we can use our new doors!

Laundry room B & A's
I added curtains to hide our water heater and the wall of plumbing, I also put those cheap peal and stick tiles on the floor to finish it off. I just need to add my cabinets, some vinyl( I can't decide what I want it to say) and an orange paint stripe around the room.

So we decided while we were fixing the basement it would be a good time to fix up chuck( our spare junk room). so I repainted, and had the carpet installers put a good piece from the TV room into there. it turned out great. I just need to find a new basketball net for the light. ha ha. This is John's room hence the old school sports wall paper I left up. Hey it has got to be vintage!
