Party Time!

Ok I know a lot of you have already seen or even bought Usborne Books, but I'm going to have a party at my house on the 18th, it's a Thursday!! So anyone is invited, it is going to be at 6:00pm. And to all my out of town friends and fam the website is www.ubah.com/x2967 I'll let my host know your buying for my show ;). We will also have pampered chef items. So please come!!! If you need my address e-mail, or call cause who knows what blog goober will come if I put my address on here! Kaydence loves her books,but there are lots of books for toddlers to. If all else fails and times are to tough to but books, or cooking items come and have some good treats!! My house is under construction right now, but I'm planning on it being done, but if it's not I'll change where the party will be.

The Pony Ride!

My dad, brother, and cousin, found these mini pony/horses. They each got one, so I have adopted the one my dad got, for Kaydence. They are still young and very wild, but I got this picture of it. Honestly I don't know if it's a boy or girl or if it even has a name. But it matches the rocking horse she got for Christmas. She rides it almost every day( we're praticing for her big girl pony, Ha Ha). Her balance is getting better every day. So we were able to get these pictures of just her and her pony today. I had to get out her cowgirl hat for these, even if she is wearing pink leggins!

So when I found out we were having a girl I was so excited, one of the reasons being the fun dress up opertunities, and playing with her hair. I just assumed she'd be born with lots of hair. I had tons of hair when I was born and my mom did and so on so forth. Well I didn't think about the fact that a lot of my cousins were bald until they were two and the Barclay side of things weren't a lot better. Ha ha. So when we got our little one I was a little sad that she just had a few sprigs. But it is coming in so good. And getting quite a bit darker to. So we put our first curler in today. she liked it more as a chew toy than for her head so it took a minute fir her to leave it there long enough for me to get some hair spray on it. But we are so excited that this day is here.

What we have been up to!!

From one thing to the next we have had an amazing month!!! First off we got a new niece on the 13th she is a beauty(they say she kind of looks like me ha ha). Then we had some fun playing with John's friends, I consider them mine to. But one weekend we had Joe and Leah Church, and Cody and Alli Wright come down. There was Coyote hunting, and lots of Rock band playing. The next weekend was John's B-day so we went to the cabin with Doug and Stephanie, Nick Phelps and his adorable little fam, Taylor and his lucky lady Megan (sorry I have no idea what your last name is) and Tim Dyreng and his small entourage. Kaydence went on her first snowmobile ride in her daddy's snow bibs of course I forgot to take a picture!! She loved it I think, she slept the whole 3 hours(she never sleeps longer than 1.5 during the day).Then this last weekend we went to Las Vegas. What A trip I had so much fun besides the totally awesome reason for being there. John's little sister was competing for Miss America( and she got hosed!!) She did amazing and we are so proud of her!.There should also be a picture of Kaydence and her grandpa coates' first tending alone. He put her diaper on inside out. When I saw this I just sat on the floor and laughed. It was funny I've herd of backwards before but not everyone can make a diaper work inside out! Most exciting is we finally finished the crib! After about a year in making. Who would have thought John would be out of town so much,and hunting season. So lets just say I'm excited that my baby doesn't have to sleep in her pack'n play any more!

4- What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? I was excited,nervous & scared
5- Who was the first person you told? John, then my mom to tell her she was right I didn't have the flu.
6-Did you plan to get pregnant? not really
7- Did you tell everyone else right away? our parents right away, and within 2 weeks everyone
8-Was everybody happy for you? Yeah they were so excited
9- Did you go out and celebrate? no
10- Did you want to find out the sex? you bet. I could hardly wait to buy things
11- What was the sex? Girl
12-Did anyone throw you a baby shower? yes
13- If yes, who? my sister-in-law and my mom, my frinds helped a little
14- Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew you weren't going to put on your baby? No, she has grown so fast she's only wore some stuff twice though
15- How much weight did you gain?like 35-40 lbs I lost track at the end ha ha
16- Did you lose all of the weight that you gained? you bet :)
17- Did you get a lot of stretch marks? Yes, but not one on my tummy
18- What did you crave the most? I didn't really have alot of cravings.
19- Did you crave anything crazy? I wanted a cheese burger at like 10:30 one night. sorry John
20- Who or what got on your nerves the most? probably my poor dog. she was really the only one around
21- Were you married at the time? yeah
22- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? no, I did get dehyderated and needed an iv.
23- Where were you when you went into labor? the hospital, I got started
24- Did your water break? No, my doc had to.
25- Who drove you to the hospital?My husband, John
26- Did you go early or late? 3 days late
27- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth? John, my Doc, cousin's wife Shayla(RN) and a respitory dude.
28- How long were you in labor for? 14 total hours from the time I got to the hospital to birth
29- Did you have any drugs for the pain? I had an epidural, I wasn't going to have one but wimped out once I got dilated to a 6,wholly molly words cann't describe whats going on
30-Did you go Natural or have a c-section? natural
31- What was your first reaction after giving birth? as lame as it sounds just, wow, I did it!
32- How big was the baby(s)? 7.14 lbs 21.5 inches
33- Did your Husband cry? I don't think so( he hid it if he did ha ha )
34- What did you name the baby(s)?Kaydence
35- Does his/her name have any significant meaning? no we just liked it
36- Did you have any visitors? Yup, lots were out waiting for me to deliver
37- Did the baby(s) have any complications? nope well a little jondice, but lights or anything .
38- How old is your baby today? 4 months and 1 week
39- When is the next one(s) coming? no body knows but hopefully not till this one is potty trained
40-If you could, would you do it all over again? Yeah, pregnancy was truly a breeze for me, even labor and delivery wasn't very bad.

Christmas!!

Wow. did Christmas sneak up on me this year. I just barely sent out my letters and cards ha ha. But We had a very enjoyable holiday. John got almost 2 straight weeks off. Believe it or not we actually like each other when we live together. Well Kaydence is getting bigger and mastering more motor skills ever day. She was able to open a few presents with help form her dad. She can sit up better every day and is now talking( OK it's more like squeals.)and it is the cutest thing I've ever herd.

Kaydence got a lot of toys from Santa and her grand parents.She got books, a rocking horse, a bunch of chew toys(teething rings)some toys to grow into and clothes. John surprised me with gorgeous ring.it probable isn't something i would have got myself but I think that's why i like it so much. I got him a new belt buckle when we were at NFR. He really wanted to get one but I told him I though it was too expensive and the next day I went a picked one out. Ha Ha.Santa also brought a new flat screen. we love it bring on the movies.
We were able to go to the cabin Christmas day. This was Kaydence's first trip in the snow.We have a snow cat( big van like snowmobile) we usually have to take in our supplies so we don't have to carry it all in trips with the snowmobiles. And of course it was broke down, so I carried Kaydence in our baby front pack and John took all of our stuff on his back( it was a huge bag). It was a blizzard and snowed about 18 inches while we were there. So it was too powdery to hardly play in it. but we had fun anyway.

Wow Update!!! ( it's a long one!)

So yikes, it doesn't take long for your blog to be out of date! Well we had a Coates Christmas party the day after Thanksgiving it was kind of fun to see some cousins I hadn't in a while. And on thanksgiving Kaydence spent a little time with her younger cousin Casen! we got some fun pics. And we played the coolest game(thanks Brit) it was called Thankful pie. My niece made a little fake pie and we wrote down on pieces of paper the things we were thankful for to fill our pie! It was super neat to hear every ones thoughts, and funny. We had Family , Friends, warm house,the gospel(and almost everything related to it), also things like hairy chests,gold bond, and hunting( gotta love those guys!) I've decorated (a little), I'm not done remodeling the house so it is kind of hard for me to decorate my ugliness ha ha. But I love my tree, my mom and I made all of the decorations about 7 years ago, and I got to take them with me when I went to college. I am working on new tree stuff for next year (it will be all hunting,feathers, barbed wire, Levi jeans) I am excited to see if my vision is as cute out of my head as in. Also we went to the NFR with my family. It is kind of a tradition now. We love it. Kaydence even went to the rodeo the first night, but was only happy for half of it( I'm pretty sure it was too loud!). So her grandma coates, and great aunt Treasa stayed behind(very excited) to play with her at the hotel. Kaydence was so good down there, I was super worried about taking her but she was fine. My mom decided she needed a family pic for Christmas cards on Sunday( didn't let us know til then either) so we all dug up some red and black ha ha and went down to the farm for some FREEZING pics. Kaydence even got the shivers I felt horrible, and I might add we are probably the most un-photogenic family ever ha ha ha. Well I think that is it. Hopefully we will have some great Christmas photos for my next post! Yay I have been so excited for Christmas this year I almost forgot about shopping( I just finished last night)! Thanks Carly for coming with me.
Kaydence Update...... Well so our little one is getting so big, in all meanings of the word. She is up to 14.5 pounds and growing ha ha, and is now trying to sit herself up when lying down( she doesn't get very far but she is trying. She can make thousands of sounds and coes, and millions of faces. She Still only poops 2 times a week, but it's getting more rank by the day. Eats every 2 hours, and sleeps through the night(since 1.5 months thank heavens). She can sit very well with a little help, but is still tipsy. She likes cereal, and it has to be thick(she just gets mad when i make it runny, i think she thinks I'm screwing with her mommy milk hee hee). Overall she IS the best baby in the whole world(OK to me at least). She is So content and happy, I cannot believe she has almost been with us for 4 months now. Who knows if I even did anything before she was here( I can't remember if I did). She is my whole life and LOVE being mommy, and love seeing John with his little girl,. Nothing in the world makes me happier.
