OOPS!

Once again I'm behind! How does it happen so fast? So the 26th like the dork I am I decided to finish painting our house ...well the ladder slipped out from under me while painting. So I thought I was fine, so I brushed my self off and rinsed the cement rash off my legs and got back up and finished all but the back side of our house. By then my wrist was starting to really hurt so I hurried and got ready for the day, just in time for Kayde to wake up then I got her and told my mom of the events and waited for her to get done with work so she could watch Kayde while John and I went to the hospital( my doctor wasn't in). Well We went to the ER and they said I had a border line fracture on my Scapphoid(The scaphoid is located on the thumb side of the wrist, in the area where the wrist bends.) I guess it's a common fracture, but if it doesn't heal correctly the bone dies and you have to have surgery to fuse everything together.YIKES! So they splinted it until the specialist could fit me in. Then Thursday comes and it's the derby... well John and I had already paid entry fees to ride ATV's around the barrels( like the barrel racers) so I decided last minute to go ahead a ride. I actually beat 3 guys and 1 girl. Ha ha.

Then Friday was Kaydences 1st Birthday.Well we had a great party! Thanks everyone who could make the trip! I make a "bug" watermelon that held our fruit, dirt salad complete with worms and burgers and hot dogs! Kayde loves almost every fruit and hot dogs so it was easy to choose food. I had planned on making the cake myself, but when I hurt my wrist I had to recruit some help from my mom and grandma when my mom was at work. I baked a banana bread layer and a carrot cake layer with cream cheese frosting, and decorated with marshmellow fondant, I had my mom roll it out but I was able to cut most of the shapes, and place them once she rolled it out.( thanks mom I know it stressed you)

Kaydence couldn't figure out why her cousin(6 weeks younger than her) wasn't walking around with her so she tried to help him out.

We also went to back to Lake Powell. Can I say I love that place? We had an awesome trip. It was a Barclay family venture. Which included Mike, Susan, Ken, Lindsi, Cannon,and baby fetus, John, I and Kayde, Scott, Steph and Casen, Tausha, Steave and other baby fetus, and lovely Kayla! IT was so fun, We each took turns cooking I thought it was fun that way, then the same people weren't always cleaning and cooking(Momma Susan). We were there for 5 Days( not all of us). We rode super Mable(crazy 3 man tube), Wake boarded, Knee Boarded( Dad Mike still had the moves he jumped a few times and did a 360, I can't find those pics though. Mike bought a really nice projector( thanks Steve for helping him) so we projected movies up on a big sheet each night to wind down. Over all it was super fun!
Kaydence would cry to get on the beach, and cry when she had to leave it. Casen, and Kaydence's Bath tub. Kayde thought it was quite awesome, she could stand up in it and not fall.

My Specialist was Finally able to see me about 2 weeks after my falling off our roof. We looked at old X-rays, took new ones. He felt all over my wrist looking for tender spots and loose bones. After FOREVER( Kaydence was sick so I had to drag her with me so I conned my mom into coming with us, so she could watch her while I was with the Doctor. Any way like 2 hours later they decided my bones looked great but because of the bone that was injured,and a few tender areas, the life style I live, they still wanted to cast me! So I Have a cast yuck! I HATE IT! It's up around my thumb making my right hand nearly useless! Try changing diapers and chasing a 1 year old like that. haha. OOH while I was online the night before looking for the doctors office directions I got on KSL.com, just browsing and found what I thought was a steal of a deal on new appliances. So I jumped on it knowing I would be up north anyway. I was able to get a fridge, range,dishwasher, and over the range microwave for under 2000. They were out of a model home so they'd never been used . Yippee, their lost my gain! anyway now I'm waiting for john to modify our cabinets so we can hook up our microwave. PS did I mention it is all stainless.

I've been crafting again. My bow class isn't really taking off. No one shows consistently, or really seams to care if it doesn't happen so give me some Ideas how I can save it. Anyway I get bored and I was invited to John's friends fiance's bridal shower(I'm just above acquaintance with her), but have really enjoyed hanging out with her, so I decided a home made gift would suffice. I put a lot of effort into what do you think I am willing to make more for a small fee. LOL

1 year Old Pictures!

Terra Despain took Kayde's pictures for me on Friday. I wanted to take my high chair out is some field and let kaydence eat cake. So here is what we got. The others are just my other favorites. I hope I can narrow some down. Also here is her b-day invitation. ha ha Your invited!

Quick update.

I let John borrow my camera, then He broke his phone so... I let him take mine. So I don't have any new pictures.
We have been busylately. I have renovated my grandma's kitchen, hall and bath. Which includes tearing off wall paper, ripping out carpet and tack strips. textured the walls, priming and painting. Laying Oak laminate floor. and then passing out!
Kaydence is going like crazy! she is a walking/running maniac. Kayde no longer crawls, she is running all over. She Loves to play on stairs. I have taught her how to go down them safely so it isn't as scary. She loves dancing, singing,and trying to snap her fingers.Playing chase, jabbering with a few words momma, dada, papa, she said chocolate milk by accident once,dog and Stu( my dads cow dog). She dislikes grass, getting her diaper changed, and not getting what she wants. ha ha. She is a pro at pulling faces, loves sticking her tongue out(thanks again dad). She is getting better at feeding herself , I think I'll just get a drop cloth til she is a pro. She likes her sippy's but still loves her bottle. We are working on getting rid of the Binki. She is doing good. I can't believe how smart she is, she loves to investigate everything, she has already figured out how to pull out my outlet covers so any new Ideas?

PS: So the official date for Kaydence's b-day is the 28, so that is when we are doing her party at our home 7 pm. that's this Friday! Let me know if you can come friends and family.

Wedding!!! Congrats Em and Jorden

What a good weekend. We went to Idaho to see John's double cousin get married. We got there 6 minutes too late to make it to the Temple sealing, but we were able to still see them come out, I love seeing new couples exit the temple SO cute! I also was able to catch some neat pictures for the temple. We stayed & enjoyed chatting & eating with John's family at the luncheon. Then Went to a County fair( I know kind of random and we were in our Sunday best too). Finally off to the reception. They had a nice formal line for an hour or so then a DANCE. Kaydence Loved it almost as much as I. We Finally left about 10:45pm to head back to Utah, decided to drive the whole way and got home around 3:00 am. What a great trip!

We had an awesome weekend, We got hotel rooms in salt lake Friday night, and got up ate the FREE breakfast, then went to the Hogle Zoo. This was my mom and dad's trip. So they spoiled us, we all got to ride the carousel, it made Kaydence really relax. Both of the girls LOVED it. Kaydence didn't hardly use the stroller, she just wanted to walk so she could be close to the glass, and animals. The Zoo had lots of baby animals, we got saw a cat( I'm not sure what kind) and a New Giraffe.

So Kaydence is getting SOOO big. She will walk/run for those who have seen her across rooms, and will take off on her own with out us talking or bribing her. She has so many funny faces, We had her showing her muscles too funny, John is working on her "shoot it" fingers. I can't believe she'll be one in less than a month!

Happy b-day Mike. We had a mini party for John's Dad Sunday, I did the cake( for practice which i REALLY need) It was a hill(for over the hill) John's Idea. I put a hunter on it , kind of dumb but I thought it turned out cute. We also got to see Kayla via web cam! We had a blast talking and laughing at each other.

We made a quick trip to Powell with the Paul Dyreng family. John and I are Kent and Tammy's children( ha ha). Well We left thursday afternoon and got back sunday evening. We had tons of fun, I can't believe we were only there for 3 days!

We got her the shades while on our trip. She was so funny but after 3 days of putting them back on right after she would take them off, she has given up and wears them! Yeah.She slept through all the fireworks( they weren't quiet either!)
