house!

She LOVES bubbles! The Easter bunny brought her a bubble blower, it is a favorite!

My Dad's new farm hand. she love the farm and cows.
Well our house is finally looking finished here and there. We have 3 closet doors to hang, and 6 doors to put trim around. We have finished almost all the trim. By that we I mean John, but he used the nail gun I bought. The all we have is the tile back splash I can't decide on and the back patio, so we can use our new doors!
Just a few reminders of how things used to be and why I LOVE what I have now!!!

just a peek at the finished kitchen
same as above, and more trim work.
more trim work

Laundry room B & A's
I added curtains to hide our water heater and the wall of plumbing, I also put those cheap peal and stick tiles on the floor to finish it off. I just need to add my cabinets, some vinyl( I can't decide what I want it to say) and an orange paint stripe around the room.

So we decided while we were fixing the basement it would be a good time to fix up chuck( our spare junk room). so I repainted, and had the carpet installers put a good piece from the TV room into there. it turned out great. I just need to find a new basketball net for the light. ha ha. This is John's room hence the old school sports wall paper I left up. Hey it has got to be vintage!

pictures and renovation again..

Wow so lots has been going on around here. I have totally enjoyed my new house Especially the kitchen I am totally spoiled rotten!!! But on that same note we had our basement flood because of some plumbing issues in the kitchen sink. We had a plumber come to clean out our drain , and he said he was done so we believed him, started the dishwasher and left for the evening. Well we came back to a flooded basement! Now this could have been so much worse, but it just got our laundry room, storage room( I like to call it my Mormon room ha ha) and into the main family room. just by the stairs. so we had to call in a company to clean it up, but that meant they tore out a hunk of my carpet and the carpet and pad up my stairs, all the molding in that area, and the drywall anywhere the little meter thing went off. That meant that my basement has been a mess since then! It took over a week for my insurance company to get back with me and everything figured out. but We have carpet ordered( yes I get the big room and stairs redone!!) and because just a little bit was ruined I decided that i would have the installers put the old into one of the spare bed room down there(chuck as some of you know it), the drywall has been repaired(the same guy we always use, he is so cheap and does a great job! He also patched up a lot of stuff included in his price BONUS) So now I am going to have a new laundry room and great room downstairs, Kaydence will be so glad to have her playroom back! Her toys are everywhere making me nuts!
I have still have been sewing and crafting as usual. I made John's little sister some calendar blocks, a grocery sack holder, and a little sign that said" when I said I Do I didn't mean Dishes" along with a bunch of cleaning supplies for her bridal shower. I made myself a sack holder while I was at it. I have been getting ready for our Disney Cruise with Johns family I cannot hardly wait.I finished all the paper work and got our passports and birth certificates all in a safe place just waiting for the big day!I tried to order a new cricut cartridge but it of coarse was back ordered so I found a friend who had one.FREE even better! So I was going to make some autograph pages for the characters on the cruise, but didn't want to spend the time on it, so I have made shirts! I decided that Kayde would need some Disney attire, but didn't feel like $20 bucks for a t shirt she most likely would stain was a good deal. So I got thinking and decided to make some mickey mouse applique shirts would be great. She has 3 and Casen will be getting one as well his mom loved the idea to. Those three dollar shirts from walmart and a fleece scarf from the dollar store have been good for this! I also made some curtains to hide an ugly(un-Sheetrock-able) wall in our laundry room. I LOVE the way they turned out. I got my fabric for a dollar a yard out of the clearance bin at walmart. Next on the sewing list is quilts! I am so excited to start trying my hand at it. I'm going to make Kayde a comforter and bed skirt, maybe so pillows too for her big girl bedroom she will be getting this summer.
I had my Dance Recital for the studio I teach at which including all the prep we do for it took 3 weeks, and then a week after that I was a hostess mom for a girl in the Miss Gunnison Pageant. She got 2nd atendent. I was super proud! I also threw a bridal shower for a Friend, and then had Kayla's shower to.
Kaydence Is SOOO big. I can't believe she is closer to being 2 than she is 1. She runs everywhere right now(and she is getting fast). She has a huge vocabulary I love it. she will count to 3 if she fells like it, can say most anybodies name. Still loves both her grandpa's, but LOVES going to the farm with my dad, who she calls "Papa". She has also named my grandma,"Nana", which is super funny, I have no idea where she herd that or came up with the idea. She is so funny and can dance with the best of dancers. She is also a climber, but interestingly enough doesn't try to get in or out of her crib. I will often find she is awake by her calling me from her bed"momma.... momma..." it is so cute. She loves to be outside! I have to make sure I keep our blinds in our new french doors to the back closed until we are both dressed or it is a fight until we are out there. She is very independent(shocker right?) We have a few power struggles here and there(unfortunately we believe in spanking) so I usually win but it we feel that in the long run it is better for all of us. Kayde is also really into dolls, and anything baby like. She loves to keep her babies wrapped up in the blankets I had to make for her( I tried giving her dish clothes but she knew better). I am excited to see how she will be with her new cousin due to arrive in August( Huge congrats to Zack and Mindy on the new little boy!). Well thanks for hanging in there with me. Just think of this as like three posts in one. I hope to get some more pictures of my creations on here, but until then enjoy these!
I had my friend Jessica Pratt took these. I wanted an old time feel with some of them. I think she did great with my vision. Especially when it was a fight to get Kayde to smile, act happy or even pay attention to us!

My Utah version of bluebells( hey she liked the purple weeds).
Love this, it is like the old school camera took it that took like 5 minutes to work. So hold that same face. ha ha

isn't this so cool, love the sunburst, the sun was so crazy that night.
she loved playing in this truck.

she is so ready for summer.
bubble!

Easter!!!

We had a great Easter this year! First off we were all able to sleep in !! Then we watched conference in our bed( kayde watched Madagascar 2 on our portable DVD player). Then we went to my parents for lunch then we went down to the farm to find the Easter eggs, and have an egg roll.Kaydence loved hunting for eggs. John re hid her bucket about 3 times with my family.
Then we ran up to Manti to spend the afternoon with John's family. We got there at the end of the 2nd conference session. So after Kaydence, Casen, John, Andrea and I had a tea party. While the Easter bunny hid eggs.Kaydence is getting so fun. She loves to do anything I am. Then we had dinner, another egg hunt, then desert, and watched a movie about Christs Resurrection. It was a Great Day!! And ended on a great note. Thanks for every one that was with us to make it such a special day.

So John Is Amazing!

Well this past week has been one big whirlwind of cleaning, sewing, designing, Dance/ Dance Pictures. And A few other things as well but I have enjoyed every minute of it.
Monday Was Dance.
Tuesday I got my hair did( thanks Steph sorry I'm a pain) I totally am loving my new color! Having the kids together made doing this take forever, but it was so nice having a good conversation, and letting Casen and Kaydence play. Even thought she may have taught him to hide in the corner to poop. We found them hiding in a hall stinky and giggling. Really funny stuff.
Then Wednesday it was dance pictures need I say more? OK I will having 200 + kids takes from about 3:30- 9:30 to get all the classes in. Thank heaven us teachers take shifts!
Thursday I was freaking out getting ready for my boutique Friday and Saturday and I also taught my dance classes.
Then Friday still more crazy time for boutique! Unfortunately the dang thing was a flop Friday. The weather was terrible wind snow you know, the normal Utah spring. I bet only 20 people came from 5-9 but oh well. It was good experience.
And finally Saturday I had a play. I got to go to with Johns fam- Susan, Steph, Tuasha, Kayla and myself duh. We saw Legally Blond at the Capital theater. I think most of us enjoyed it. Even though I could have just went for lunch, we got to eat at the Cheesecake Factory!!! AMAZING!!!! So because I was at the play John offered to run my booth at the boutique so I could go have a girls day with his family. So I jumped on that band wagon. He did great he sold 8 of my stuffed animals/ shapes, 6 lovies, 3 receiving blankets, a bib set, and diaper wipe set. So what that means is feel free to call me if you need a baby gift. I have leftovers that need to be warming up some little ones life! I was so proud of him for working the ladies for me! He truly never complained. He said he had to stop counting the times her heard " my husband wouldn't even come near a place like this", or other things to that effect. Ha Ha, So ya I have a good man!!
Kaydence is seriously getting so big! She is starting to really communicate with us. I can as k her things and get a normal answer now. She is Jumping( even off the ground) She was just going through the motions before. She loves our dog Roxy, who in turn will let Kayde sit on her , pull her hair , put her hand what seems down in her stomach, and not even get mad. She is a good puppy, but she is still a puppy let me remind you and myself even though she is HUGE! Kaydence has been sitting on the potty every morning with no luck but 2 times this week she jumped off ran into my bedroom to relive herself then just stood up right in front of the potty and peed on the floor. I though it was funny. So I think and hope it means we are getting closer to no diapers at this house.
We are working on my French braiding skills, she is kind of bald in the front of her head hence the bangs, So it makes it really hard.
Welcome to my booth! I was super proud of my products and they way everything looked with my "junk" as John has called some of it.
the whole deal, the vendors were all really nice, the people behind me let me use their mesh to hold my sign.
the diaper/ wipe cases( this case I guess was junk, I dug it half out of the dirt a few years ago. Ha ha.
Some receiving blankets in my great grandmas bassinet.
My taggie/lovies!
My toodles( it is what Kaydence calls them, thanks Mickey mouse).
Bib/burp cloth sets.
and more of my receiving blankets. Thanks Brindee for your doll crib.
