So John Is Amazing!

Well this past week has been one big whirlwind of cleaning, sewing, designing, Dance/ Dance Pictures. And A few other things as well but I have enjoyed every minute of it.
Monday Was Dance.
Tuesday I got my hair did( thanks Steph sorry I'm a pain) I totally am loving my new color! Having the kids together made doing this take forever, but it was so nice having a good conversation, and letting Casen and Kaydence play. Even thought she may have taught him to hide in the corner to poop. We found them hiding in a hall stinky and giggling. Really funny stuff.
Then Wednesday it was dance pictures need I say more? OK I will having 200 + kids takes from about 3:30- 9:30 to get all the classes in. Thank heaven us teachers take shifts!
Thursday I was freaking out getting ready for my boutique Friday and Saturday and I also taught my dance classes.
Then Friday still more crazy time for boutique! Unfortunately the dang thing was a flop Friday. The weather was terrible wind snow you know, the normal Utah spring. I bet only 20 people came from 5-9 but oh well. It was good experience.
And finally Saturday I had a play. I got to go to with Johns fam- Susan, Steph, Tuasha, Kayla and myself duh. We saw Legally Blond at the Capital theater. I think most of us enjoyed it. Even though I could have just went for lunch, we got to eat at the Cheesecake Factory!!! AMAZING!!!! So because I was at the play John offered to run my booth at the boutique so I could go have a girls day with his family. So I jumped on that band wagon. He did great he sold 8 of my stuffed animals/ shapes, 6 lovies, 3 receiving blankets, a bib set, and diaper wipe set. So what that means is feel free to call me if you need a baby gift. I have leftovers that need to be warming up some little ones life! I was so proud of him for working the ladies for me! He truly never complained. He said he had to stop counting the times her heard " my husband wouldn't even come near a place like this", or other things to that effect. Ha Ha, So ya I have a good man!!
Kaydence is seriously getting so big! She is starting to really communicate with us. I can as k her things and get a normal answer now. She is Jumping( even off the ground) She was just going through the motions before. She loves our dog Roxy, who in turn will let Kayde sit on her , pull her hair , put her hand what seems down in her stomach, and not even get mad. She is a good puppy, but she is still a puppy let me remind you and myself even though she is HUGE! Kaydence has been sitting on the potty every morning with no luck but 2 times this week she jumped off ran into my bedroom to relive herself then just stood up right in front of the potty and peed on the floor. I though it was funny. So I think and hope it means we are getting closer to no diapers at this house.
We are working on my French braiding skills, she is kind of bald in the front of her head hence the bangs, So it makes it really hard.
Welcome to my booth! I was super proud of my products and they way everything looked with my "junk" as John has called some of it.
the whole deal, the vendors were all really nice, the people behind me let me use their mesh to hold my sign.
the diaper/ wipe cases( this case I guess was junk, I dug it half out of the dirt a few years ago. Ha ha.
Some receiving blankets in my great grandmas bassinet.
My taggie/lovies!
My toodles( it is what Kaydence calls them, thanks Mickey mouse).
Bib/burp cloth sets.
and more of my receiving blankets. Thanks Brindee for your doll crib.

3 years Really?

Picture overload!

Wow, I still can't believe I have been married to John for three years and have known him for over seven! We have changed so much over that time( mainly him, me not so much ha ha.) We still love the outdoors, and food, and John's famous saying "A good time", but never really get enough of any . As a married couple and family we have added most importantly Kaydence to our family, got a dog sold a dog, and got another. We have sold three cars and bought three, John's junkers included! Rented 2 houses and bought our first HOME. Then we took the addicting plunge into remodeling efforts from swapping out paint in some bedrooms to our recent and most daunting reno gutting and rearranging our Kitchen. We love our house and are so lucky to be able to live a comfortable life that we can do silly things like remodeling, and going out of town for a weekend if we want. Joh I love you more each day, I can't believe how caring and thoughtful you are. You truely inspire me to be my best and hope that I do the for you.
He has continued to sweep me off of my feet!

The Mr. and Mrs. John Barclay!
Hunting as a family.( Kayde was 2 months old-ish)
I can still make him mad, but mainly we love to tease each other. Oh but do we still love to kiss!!
Our Family is what makes us happiest, It "LIFTS" our spirits every day!

Sorry! Time flies when your computerless.

Don't mind the old rags.

Final kitchen( with cute new rug)
New pantry, with the doors on. good job John!
check out the massive sink. and all the counter top space my microwave used to have to sit right here.
Our first disposal of our marriage!
Here it is!!( No more pantry, we moved the fridge where the pantry was).
Can you believe the fridge was on this wall?( the cabinet on the far right is empty!! Love my new space.

So We have a fully functioning kitchen!!! Yahoo. We got our counter tops in and they are better than I thought they ever could have been. John's little sister thought they were rock(I had to swear on Kaydes life for her to believe me). After getting our counter tops We got all our plumbing done. We were going to do this ourselves because that is just how we roll, but... John was gone and I couldn't wait. ha ha. So I had a guy come in and put our drains and disposal together. Good thing I did because we needed to rearrange some stuff and he had the good advise to swap out some old cast iron stuff we had. So that was done, he did think we needed to get our drain line cleaned out, but didn't have the equipment. Well to make a long story short about the drains being plugged, Our kitchen flooded about 3 days later!! It was not as bad as it could have been thank heavens. nothing got ruined we were able to keep it confined so mainly the floor got mopped and the bottoms of the cabinets. I got a few new dishtowels, rug and table runner last weekend I love how it kind of just ties and finishes ever thing off. So all that we have left is trim, hanging the rest of our closet doors and touch up stuff! few I am going to say we are done with inside house work. Now to the out doors. Oh wait it is busy work season and John just informed me they got the Louisiana Job they were hoping for. I am not sure how I feel about that yet.

Well not too much has been happening.

Counter Tops

Before the grout and sealant!

Cabinest finished up! Appliances in!
They are a knotty maple

We got the rest of our cabinet doors in, the hardware installed and appliances in place. I am loving having a microwave above my stove. Our countertops will be so awesome... if we could ever get them finished. They were supposed to be done and installed this afternoon. Somehow durring the sealing the dang things, the temperature got to cold or we got too impatient and didn't let the coats dry long enough between and we have serious issues. So john will be staying late at the shop( again) to sand down and smooth out the surface, and reseal!! UGG.

BEWARE NUDITY!!!

I bought Kayde her own potty! She loves it. she doesn't get the whole Idea of using it. Butshe likes to sit on it, and have her doll use it. She will grunt and stuff but no goods. I'm not starting the whole potty training yet, but I just wanted her to be comfortable with the pottty when we did.

kitchen!

Well sorry for not posting. I was reading Mandi's post and thought I felt the same way."why doesn't anyone ever post". Then I looked and I had not posted anything for a few weeks. I also decided that it is because we are still remodeling and that is about it. I never thought the day would come when I couldn't wait to deep clean my house and cook a meal.

My Vinal says "calling all strong and able, please help clear the table."
I had to get something up on my fresh walls.Got to love Tia Pans Plate racks
Look at all my space, my fridge used to be here cutting my kitchen up.
For the details on what we have done and what we have left to do on this little project.
So we ripped out all the cabinets, drop ceiling, pantry, and wall over the stairs.
And while we were at it deiced to finish tearing up the hall and entry way. NO MORE PANELING!
Moved everything that we were keeping into our from room( free storage)
Cleaned up 3 feet of insulation.
re-built higher better ceiling, and added new pantry
Hung all the new dry wall, cut out where the old window and A/C unit was, and hung french doors.
paid some one to come in and mud.
primed, and painted.(Thank heavens for a borrowed paint gun)
found out that it would be best to rip out the old linoleum.( 2 layers=no fun and lots of cuts and a night til 3 am)
lay backer board and tile( it took about 13 hours total just for the tile) We were pooped!
grout and all that fun finish work.
got cabinet installed( well the boxes)
put in the recessed lighting.
templated for the counter tops( we are doing concrete)
got most of the cabinet doors on, and the under cabinet lighting in.
Look how nice this is. Sorry for bragging, but we have worked hard.
So this is sort of what our counter tops will look like. I know not a lot of you have seen concrete counter tops. So to answer your question, we wont have plain grey drive way counter.
So Now all we have left is finish installing the appliances, putting the new pantry together, hanging all the closet doors, counter tops/ sink/ plumbing, and trim work. FEW!

Well Kaydence has been getting bigger, more wild, and faster by the minute! I think she has added about 30 words to her vocabulary in the last week. I think bubble, and yellow are favorites. She knows what the pig, cow, sheep, horse, and duck say and also how to shoot them( ha ha good work John) she has also learned how to blink. She can drink really well out of a cup, but thinks it is fun to dump out the contents of the cup to clean it up. kind of cute now just not at the time she is doing it. She does like to help in general. If I am cleaning she needs a broom, mop bucket, or rag, or all of the above or I get nothing done. But I can't wait til she is old enough to really help me. She will be awesome!!

Also Congrats to Ken,Lindsi, and Cannon on the new addition!! Gunner is going to be such a little stud. We were able to run up and see him Monday night.
Also another big Congrats to Kayla and her Fiancee Ty. They are so happy together!

Kitchen update!

Okay so here are a few of the befores.

This is before, after cabinets are gone, drop ceiling removed and insulation fell through, after I cleaned that up. The hall way tore out, John starting to hang more dry wall, and my wrecking crew. ha ha
Building things back up. this is the back of my pantry, front and inside of it. entry and hall newly sheet rocked, the new french doors, that open to our back yard! the view of the back yard with the doors in.

Well all and all this has really not been horrible. Thankfully we have great Friends and family who are so willing to help us! We could do this with out you. Seth put our door in and framed our pantry for us, Justin helped rip out the rest of our cabinets, and drop ceiling, as well as putting up the new one. My parents have let us stay at their house during the day which is nice with kayde. And Mike had a guy from the shop come to help me finish drywall this Monday! Thanks again!!!
I hope we can repay you all some how!
Up next texture of the walls, and ceiling, paint, floors, cabinets lights, counter tops. and few we'll be done. ha ha
